The text about the ELIPS project and the first results of our research appeared on the Elementarium portal, which is edited by the Center for the Promotion of Science.
Dr. Milica Marušić Jablanović, а senior research associate at the Institute for Educational Research in Belgrade, who manages the ELIPS project, said: “In order to have a more environmentally literate population in the future, systemic and continuous measures are necessary at both the state and local level, combined with synchronized by the action of the family, kindergarten and school.”
Our recent guest, Prof. Thomas Marcinkowski, Ph.D., professor in the field of natural sciences and environmental education, as well as program manager of STEM education at the Florida Institute of Technology, USA. He explained that environmental literacy is a “broad and complex construct”, closely related to the term “environmental education”, which aims to improve the environmental literacy of people in all age groups, both personally and collectively.
